Chess Park features a collection of chess tables including a human-scale board with large pieces. The park is open sunrise to sunset, with the table available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How to use the large chess pieces at Chess Park

Yes, the large-scale chess pieces are available for public use! 

• Visit the Police Substation on the Pier to get the key for the chess pieces locker. 
• You will be required to sign a form and leave your license until the key is returned. 
• When you are done with the chess pieces, put them back in the locker and return the key to the Police Substation. 
• The key may not be kept overnight. 

Please note: You are completely responsible for the care and safekeeping of the chess pieces while the key is in your possession. If they are destroyed or damaged, you will be required to pay for the replacement or repair cost.
