LAX Airport to Hermosa Beach

Near Hermosa Beach Pier

Hermosa Beach features beach activities such as Surfboarding, skateboarding or boogey boarding, bicycle riding, etc. Rental shops are located near the pier, so you don't need to bring your own equipment. There are also many restaurants and clubs in the area. Hermosa Beach is a nice area to spend time if you're looking for a laid back atmosphere near the beach.

Getting There

From LAX, a bus ride takes 30-60 minutes each way (including transfers). From the terminal at LAX, take Lot C Shuttle to LAX Transit Center. Get a transfer for the next bus. Proceed to Bus Bay #6 and take Beach Cities Transit # 109 to Hermosa Beach. (Use Metro's Trip Planner to find the best route for your departure time.)

Time Estimate

You will realistically need at least a 4 hour layover for this excursion. On planning for your return trip to LAX, don't forget to allow an additional hour to get through security and walking through the terminal at LAX.
